FRENCH COWBOY DOMINATES GIPSY HORSES RANCH CHRISTMAS RODEO
The Gipsy Horses Ranch in Westerlo, Belgium hosted its
Christmas Rodeo on Dec 17, 2011. The event was an
invitational Rodeo and not part of any sanctioning body.
However, the annual event is one of the premier Rodeos
in Belgium.

The Rodeo started shortly after the advertised time of 8pm
with a spectacular opening ceremony: The song "Hallelujah"
was performed by Rik Raats and Maxine Michiels while
circeling the arena on horseback! Rick Raats played the
guitar while singer Maxine Michiels performed the song.

The Rodeo competition started with Bareback Riding and the
sell-out crowd at the Gipsy Horses Arena witnessed spectacular
rides, topped by Jordi Adrians performance to win the event.
The Saddle Bronc Riding was won by french Cowboy Quentin
"Ice" Galliere who also won the Bull Riding. Like the Bareback
horses, the Bulls also liked to buck that night and gave the
audience plenty to cheer about. The afterparty in the adjacent
tent featured live music and also was a success for the
organisers as it was filled to capacity.
